Description
A Thousand Points of Light
Sheesh Mahal is inspired by a simple idea from India’s palaces: light is most beautiful when it is broken into many small pieces.
In the royal havelis and forts of Rajasthan, entire halls were lined with tiny hand-cut mirrors, so that a single lamp could fill a room with shimmer. This showpiece brings that tradition down to a scale you can hold, place and live with every day.
It is not a copy of any one palace. It is a hand-made interpretation, built from folk-art patterns, freehand sun motifs and real mirror inlay, made slowly by a team of artisans who treat every piece as a one-off.
“Light, repeated a thousand times, is what makes a palace feel alive.”
Crafted with Mirror & Sun
Every surface of Sheesh Mahal has been painted, carved or inlaid by hand. Here is what to look for.
The Mirror-Bordered Panel
A deep terracotta-rust oval sits at the heart of the design, framed edge to edge by small mirrors, each one set individually by hand.
Radiating Sun Motifs
Concentric suns in warm orange and maroon appear on the body and the lid. In Indian tradition the sun stands for energy, warmth and fresh beginnings.
Folk-Art Patterns
Triangles, diamond lattices, zigzag borders and a trident-like symbol are drawn freehand, inspired by traditional Indian folk wall-painting.
The Dome Lid
The lid carries sun medallions with a mirror at each centre, scattered mirror dots, and a hand-carved ridged knob shaped like a small lotus bud.
Made to Be Displayed
Sheesh Mahal is a pure display showpiece. Its ivory-cream finish and butter-yellow interior have been considered as carefully as its outside, so it looks complete from every angle.
3 to 4 Months
& 8 to 10 Artisans
This is not a standard design and it was never made on a production line. Each stage is done by hand, and each stage waits for the one before it to settle, which is why one piece takes months rather than days.

A Gift Beyond the Ordinary

Caring for Your Showpiece
Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth or brush.
Do not wash or soak. Keep water away from the mirror border.
Avoid long hours of direct sunlight, which can fade painted colours.
Keep away from sprays, chemicals and abrasive cleaners.
Lift the body with both hands, and do not carry the piece by the lid knob alone. Keep the original packing if you plan to move or gift it later.
