Deep within every Rajput fort stood the Sileh Khana — the royal armoury, where weapons, ceremonial armour, and the kingdom’s most guarded treasures were locked away behind walls of solid sandstone.
Unlike the painted palaces above, this was a room without ornament — raw stone, thick walls, and a silence that meant business. What was kept here was never meant to dazzle. It was meant to last.
Sileh Khana carries that same honesty — a candle vessel left unpolished on purpose, its quarry marks visible, its gold engraving the only ornament it needs.
The Vessel
Stone Left Honest
Cast in genuine sand-textured stone composite — rough-hewn edges left deliberately unfinished, with a single engraved gold plaque at the centre.
The exterior surface is left rough and uneven, exactly as sandstone appears the moment it’s cut from the quarry — natural fissures and grain fully visible
A single recessed panel carries the Noir Jaipur monogram in deep gold engraving, bordered by a fine decorative corner motif — the only ornament on an otherwise bare surface
Unlike the domed vessels in our collection, Sileh Khana stands as a squared block — masculine, architectural, built to look like it was hewn rather than poured
A warm honey-gold tone matched precisely to the Dholpur sandstone used to construct Jaipur’s forts and palaces over four centuries
The rough quarried finish means every vessel carries unique natural markings and texture variations — a genuine one-off, not a replica

Here it opens sharp and green, deepens into sun-warmed amber resin and dry earth, and settles into a long, woody base that smells exactly like stone after rain.
